Purpose: To be a visionary and prophetic voice for establishing and growing community at ECBF.
Mission: To embrace, encourage, and pursue one another with the living, transforming love of Christ Jesus
Theme Verse: If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your
own interests, but also to the interests of
others. Your attitude should be the same as
that of Christ Jesus.

Focus:
•Our connection efforts will have a focus on
reconciliation. We will encourage people about
the connections they are already making,
and also “provoke” them to stretch themselves.
Our activities will be multicultural, and multigenerational.
•We will partner with each of the other commissions, to
overlap our work as much as possible.
•Outreach: We will plan activities that meet the
connection needs of the church, as well as provide
opportunities to bring in others from the “outside”.
•Discipleship: We will encourage folks to connect around
Wednesday nights, and other times of corporate study.
•Prayer: We will encourage people to seek prayer, as part
of getting their needs met.
•Events: We plan to schedule a connection event at
least once a month.
